Purba Putiary, P.S. Regent Park, Kolkata – 700093, West Bengal, India. The trust is officially registered under Section 60 and Rule 69, with its details recorded in Book-IV, Volume Number 190302021, spanning pages 30991 to 31042. EARTH is dedicated to promoting innovation and research in the fields of tourism and hospitality, contributing to the academic and professional growth of these sectors. The Educators’ Association for Research in Tourism and Hospitality (EARTH) has launched a visionary initiative — Aagyachakra Innovation Lab — to ignite a culture of creativity, research, and enterprise among hospitality and tourism institutions. This pioneering platform aims to bridge academic insight with practical innovation, nurturing faculty and students to become idea generators and change-makers in the service industry.
Through the Aagyachakra Innovation Lab, EARTH extends comprehensive support in filing intellectual property (IP), ensuring that novel ideas and prototypes emerging from academic institutions receive due recognition and legal safeguarding. The initiative also focuses on establishing Institution Innovation Councils (IIC) and Innovation Labs within colleges, fostering structured ecosystems where innovation thrives through mentorship, collaboration, and industry partnership.
By aligning academic innovation with national priorities and entrepreneurial goals, Aagyachakra Innovation Lab stands as a catalyst for transforming hospitality education into a hub of research-driven growth and sustainable development.
Intellectual Research Development Services (IRDS) is an initiative of the EARTH, designed to empower educators, researchers, and innovators in the hospitality and tourism sector. IRDS provides end-to-end assistance in filing Intellectual Property (IP)—including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and design registrations—at a highly affordable cost.
The initiative aims to cultivate a culture of innovation by making intellectual property protection accessible to academic institutions, students, and individual researchers. Through its streamlined process and expert support, IRDS ensures that novel ideas and research outcomes receive rightful recognition and legal safeguarding.
By reducing the financial and procedural barriers to IP filing, IRDS reinforces EARTH’s broader mission—to nurture innovation, encourage applied research, and build a future-ready ecosystem for hospitality education and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Angshuman Chatterjee has been the doyen of hospitality education in the country. During his incredible professional journey, he has been an Academician, Consultant, Mentor, Director to several Institutes and Companies, Government Advisor, and overall a knowledge hub and highly respected Hospitality Professional. An academician, he taught at Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Kolkata, a College of Government of India, since 1988 for a successful tenure of 21 years. He also served various other Hotel Management Colleges and Institutes as Principal / Director. Dr Chatterjee is one among a niche group of exclusive trainers chosen by Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India to train teachers / trainers from various critical fields like “IAS and IPS Officers, Railway, Banking and Insurance trainers, and teachers” from several reputable Colleges across the County.
Dr. Chatterjee’s dynamic and highly knowledgeable leadership was engaged by “Quality Council of India” to Evaluate Airport Services for all Airports Operated by the Airport Authority of India. In one another prestigious work assignment, he spearheaded to help the “World Bank and Government of Uttar Pradesh” in formation of “Pro-poor Tourism Policy” creating a huge perpetual value for the masses. After playing pivotal role in setting up of the highly reputed “The Neotia University, Kolkata (including Neotia School of Hotel Management)” he continues to serve here as a Mentor. He also serves as the Director at “IIAS School of Management, Siliguri” after setting it up under his able professional guidance in all aspects. Being a renowned Hospitality Consultant Dr. Chatterjee from time to time has assisted several Hotel Owners and Developers in various aspects related to Hotel Planning, Development, Operations, and Asset Management. Following his core knowledge area and passion, he has mastered the area of Planning, Developing, and Operating any Hospitality Education Institute, and is considered best in the field by Industry Professionals and his Clients. Mrs. Subrata Dasgupta, a Law Graduate from Calcutta University is the dynamic driving force behind this initiative. An entrepreneur & visionary leader, she prefers to work behind the scenes. Her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts inspire everyone around her to go the extra mile and achieve excellence. Known for her exceptional motivational skills, Mrs. Dasgupta encourages her team to overcome challenges with confidence and perseverance. Her humble demeanor and steadfast commitment to success make her a true role model, fostering an environment of growth and innovation while leaving a lasting impression on all.
Dr. Santanu Dasgupta is an acclaimed researcher and academician. He holds a doctorate degree in Management from Amity University Rajasthan. He started his journey in the field of hospitality from IHM Bhubaneswar more than two decades ago and completed his M.Sc. in Hotel Management from Annamalai University. He has worked in renowned hotel brands in the beginning of his career and then moved into academics. He has prepared syllabus for undergraduate and postgraduate courses for private and government universities in West Bengal, India. He has authored research articles in national and international journals, book chapters and authored books on hospitality and tourism. He has more than seventy five national and international intellectual properties in his name. Dr. Dasgupta has worked at different levels in various academic institutions of repute. He is presently working as a Professor & Principal at SRM University, Tamil Nadu India.

A distinguished Assistant Professor at Siliguri Institute of Technology, Govind boasts an impressive academic pedigree, having earned his Master’s degree from the revered Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa (IHM PUSA). With an illustrious career spanning 14+ years, Govind has seamlessly navigated the realms of industry and academia, fostering a unique blend of theoretical expertise and practical acumen.
Mr Asik Rahaman Jamader is working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Management at The Neotia University, West Bengal, India, also he is the Corporate Advisory Board Member of the Smart Journal of Business Management Studies indexed by Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) – Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics) with 5.748 Impact factor. His research interest is in Hospitality and innovative Techniques implemented in the Hospitality Industry. He is a scientist with 56 numbers of internationally granted patents & 31 numbers of registered and published national & International patents also have a good number of authored Books/Book chapter publications, including some SCOPUS/SCIE/ESCI/WOS publications. Recently he joined as an Ad Hoc reviewer of the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research (IJBIR), IGI Global publishing indexed by WOS and Scopus.
